About Us

SubZero High School Curling

The purpose of SubZero Curling is to provide high school athletes who want to succeed at competitive curling with an organization that provides coaching to enhance their curling abilities and connects individuals with other high school curlers to form competitive teams.

Junior curling promotes healthy minds and bodies both on and off the ice.  Junior curlers enhance their physical abilities, improve their leadership skills, critical and strategic thinking, and learn to compete and succeed as part of a team.  SubZero Curling provides a structured environment where experienced junior curlers can become a part of a team, compete and succeed competitively, receive coaching to improve their skills, and be exposed to other curling clubs, other high school curling programs, and the social aspects of curling.

There are curling options for any junior curler interested in participating!

VARSITY - the most competitive program and for curlers who have previous curling experience. Varsity curlers will compete at the highest level at each bonspiel and attend both and out of state bonspiels.  Varsity curlers will also have the opportunity to receive a high school letter if they complete the requirements for their high school.

JUNIOR VARSITY - this is a competitive program that allows junior curlers the opportunity to experience local bonspiels in a less competitive manner.  Junior Varsity curlers can choose to attend other bonspiels at their own expense.

CHASKA CURLING CENTER JUNIOR CURLING - provides curlers the opportunity to learn about curling, rules, etiquette and strategy.  Curlers in the Junior Program will have the opportunity to attend a bonspiel if they choose.
